An increase to connect more of the community
We are hearing great reports of the continued service of the paper and we are very thankful for the reach we have in South Mobile County, but we did not think it was enough. Even though we having been reaching 11,000 homes and businesses in our area for the past ten plus years, there have been some homes and businesses that have been missing out. After doing research and talking to people that desire to see this paper grow, we have decided to expand The Connection beginning with this issue. We will be going from 11,000 to 15,000 homes and businesses this month. This is a bold move for us but we believe that our advertisers, readers, and potential clients will benefit. You may have also noticed the difference in type of paper on the colored pages last month. Normally the paper is printed on what is called “Newsprint,” but last month we moved to “Bright White” which makes all of our color ads and images pop off the page as well as making it much better to the touch. All of this is effort in improving our paper is because we desire this paper to be something our community can be proud of. To continue to do this we would ask you that our monthly paper stick around your house. When you need a plumber or a painter and you don’t know who to call, take a look in our business card section and find someone there. When you have a son or daughter that makes a huge accomplishment or crosses a milestone in their life, or if a loved one has passed on and you want to commemorate their life and legacy place an announcement in your local paper for 15,000+ people to see. As a child, we didn’t go out to eat crabs but boiled them right at home and there was not anything better than eating it on a couple pages of newspaper to keep everything else clean. Use this paper in whatever means you need. And as always our vision is to connect you with this great community we call home.
