Q: Should I be worried about sending my child back to school when they decide to reopen?
A: According to the CDC, the best available data shows that there are relatively low risks posed to school-aged children by COVID-19. Children are at lower risk of contracting the virus and studies also indicate that transmission among children in schools is low. While the studies are not conclusive, the available evidence gives reason to believe that in-person schooling is in the best interest of students in a number of ways, including the social, emotional, nutritional, and safety benefits.
