Fish Fry
What’s better than a fish fry? That’s easy…two fish fries! The Men’s Group at DI United Methodist Church is doing just that on Wednesday, March 8 & 15. Organizers will be serving up fresh fried catfish, cole slaw, baked beans, hush puppies and fries from 5-7pm each day. What’s the charge? Well, that’s up to you as the group plans to accept donations in lieu of charging a set price. Desserts and beverages will also be available. Everyone is invited!
Stirring the Sand
The Dauphin Island Heritage and Arts Council (DIHAC) will present its next installment of “Stirring the Sand”, featuring live storytelling about life and culture on Old Dauphin Island, on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at the DI Campground. Peter Tanner will be the featured storyteller and members of the audience will be invited to share their stories of the Island. Free and open to the public – donations are always welcomed and appreciated! On March 31, join us for “Last Friday Art Night” from 6 pm – 8 pm at the Dauphin Island Gallery, 918 Bienville Blvd. Enjoy local art and history, food, drinks, music and an art demonstration. Come socialize with Island residents and visitors–all are welcome! $5 donation per person is requested to help cover expenses.
