GIVE ME A BREAK- CARE PROGRAM
Citizens for a Better Grand Bay wants your input! Our Compassionate Care Team is considering starting a new program in the Grand Bay area called “Give Me A Break”. The idea behind this program is that many people who are caring for sick or homebound loved ones become homebound themselves while providing this care. The “Give Me A Break” program would offer volunteers to come and sit with your loved one for an hour or two at a time, once a week, while the caregiver is free to go to the store, go to community events, or just have a break.
We are looking for community feedback to determine how many people have a need for this service, and also how many people would like to volunteer their time to help others in this capacity. Please let us know so we can get the ball rolling on this program.
