Representatives from the Daniel Foundation of Alabama Maria Kennedy, executive director, and board member Lucy McVay toured the site of the Grand Bay Library with Aleta Boudreaux, president of Citizens for A Better Grand Bay, and board member Kimon Brown in August.
In 2015, The Daniel Foundation awarded CBGB a matching grant of $50,000 to be used for the renovation of the library building. The grant was matched in June 2016 with funds from residents of the Grand Bay community, local and out of state businesses and friends interested in having a public library in Grand Bay.
