Alma Bryant Football Head Coach Doug Hoehn Retires
After four years of being head coach of the Hurricanes Doug Hoehn announced his retirement after their last football game this season against Foley. Hoehn finishes with a 7-33 record as the Hurricanes head coach from 2017-2020. \

New Mayor of Bayou la Batre Sworn In
On November 2, 2020 the new mayor of Bayou la Batre, Henry Barnes was sworn in. His son, Henry Barnes, Jr. and Judge L. Daniel Mims Officiating helped at the Swearing In Ceremony. Henry Barnes will serve his first term as mayor of Bayou la Batre and will hold the position for a term of 4 years.
