It has truly been a busy and exciting year at all schools throughout Southwest Mobile County, and most definitely, one that will not be forgotten. Following the closing of all schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic, classes were taught virtually by teachers in all grade levels. Seniors were afforded a little reprieve when the state superintendent decided to release all seniors who were on track to graduate at the end of the 3rd quarter. The remaining seniors continued to work toward completing all requirements online.
Elementary and middle school students continued to finalize the year of study by completing their coursework under the direction of teachers and parents. All are to be commended for completing their coursework, and I am sure that everyone will be excited about returning to the regular classroom in the fall.
A huge shout out to all the Alma Bryant High School Seniors that participated throughout the year in various academic organizations, fine arts, and as service club participants. We will recognize several of the groups this month and will follow up in July with the recognition of the ABHS sports teams.
