The Grand Bay Angel Tree dates back to almost 20 years ago, when our dear friend, Ann Gartman dedicated herself to this program. She poured her heart into helping the local children in need. She will always be remembered for her diligence and success in establishing this charity. Ann went to be with the Lord this past year, but she will never be forgotten. Her legacy lives on as each of us continue to unite with love to care for our community children.
The Grand Bay Angel Tree was able to provide the Christmas wishes for 65 local children for the 2019 season. We estimated the amount of bikes, toys and clothing donated was over $7,000.00! This is only possible because of all of the generous people, businesses, and churches who adopted an angel from either Grand Bay Pharmacy or Sam’s Super Burger. Thank you for taking your time to shop and deliver these gifts so that these children will wake up on Christmas morning with a smile.
We would like to acknowledge a special thanks to Tony and Nuka Tripp and Amanda Hall. The Tripps adopted ten angels and Amanda adopted seven! We appreciate all of your kindness and generosity, you really helped make this a successful year for the angels.
We also want to say a special thanks to our volunteers and Pastor Terry and Tammy Rasgdale of Grand Bay Community Church for all of their help. Thank you, Grand Bay for your continued support through the years!
