I am honored to be writing this article. It is no small or insignificant, or unimportant thing.
Today is a happy day, showing us that with perseverance good things can and do come out of tragedy. However, it will not heal or make us whole again. But it can ease our hearts and shine a light on good memories. Today we are thrilled to announce that the current the Alma Bryant High School dance studio, is being named after a former Kicking Cane and Hurricane cheerleader. “The Britan Gillespie Dance Studio, Home Of The Kicking Canes”. Will officially be the name of the dance studio building. The Gillespie family is tickled and blessed in being able to honor Britan in such a way. We would like to thank; Principle Estle, for the compassion you show and for going to bat for us with the school board. Image Designs, for the production and assembling of the sign. And lastly to Ms. Tanya Parent, for the abundance of support, you have given us. Thank you all so much. There will be a small private ribbon ceremony for family and friends of Britan Gillespie. This is a way to memorialize her and show everyone the new sign.
